Carnival: Arabic Makeup #1

Hello!

I thought I would do some fun looks for those who celebrate carnival. Since my mum is German, I always celebrated carnival and I always had a lot of fun dressing myself up. I also loooove arabic makeup, I think it's vet pretty and sexy. This was also an excuse for filling in my brows! I never never fill in my brows because they look too harsh with my blond hair, but I love how it looks on other people.

To archive that sharp eyeliner I used tape before I started my makeup and I took it off at the end. Then I emphasized the line with NYX Jumpo Eyeshadow Pencil in Milk.

I didn't came up with this makeup, I saw it somewhere (don't know where, sorry) so I can't take all the credit for it.

He pensado en hacer algunos maquillajes divertidos para carnaval. Como mi madre es alemana, siempre he celebrado el carnaval y siempre me lo he pasado genial disfrazándome. Además me encanta en maquillaje árabe me parece muy bonito y sexy.  Esto fue también una excusa para rellenar mis cejas. Nunca, nunca me las pinto porque queda demasiado marcado con mi pelo rubio, pero me encanta cómo le queda a otras personas.

Para conseguir un eyeliner tan "cortante" me pegue celo antes de empezar el maquillaje y me lo quité al final. Luego lo enfaticé con NYX Jumbo Eyeshadow Pencil en color Milk.

Este look no me lo he "inventado" yo, vi la imagen en algún sitio (no sé dónde, sorry) así que no puedo llevarme todo el mérito por él.

I recently got my Sleek Original Palette and I'm doing a few makeup looks to tray the color out. This is the first combination I did, greens and blues. The eye shadows are so pretty and well pigmented...! I really love them, to read my review click here!

Review and Swatches: Sleek Storm Palette

Hello! 

Today I'm going to show you the second palette I got from Sleek, the Storm Palette. If you want to know what I think of the eyeshadows, the packaging and so on, check out the Original Palette Review I did clicking here.

I think the color selection of the Storm Palette is great because you get a first row of neutral light colors and a second row of dark colors. You can do wearable daytime looks and smokey dark looks for the night. If I had to choose one of the two Sleek palettes that I own for a trip I would definitely choose this one because of the versatility. I love that the palette includes three basic matte eyeshadows (black, light brown and medium brown)

Hoy os voy a enseñar la segunda paleta que compré de Sleek, la Paleta Storm. Si quieres saber lo que pienso de las sombras, la presentación etcétera, mira el review que hice sobre la Paleta Original clickeando aquí.

Pienso que la selección de colores de la Paleta Storm es genial, ya que obtienes una primera fila de colores neutros para el día y una segunda fila de colores oscuros para looks ahumados para la noche. Si tuviera que elegir una de las dos paletas de Sleek que tengo para un viaje elegiría la Storm por lo versátil que es. Me encanta que la paleta tenga tres sombras mates básicas (negro, marrón claro y marrón medio).

Review and Swatches: Sleek Original Palette

Hello!

Say hello to my new love: the Sleek Original Palette! I just got this palette and the Storm palette and I'm impressed with the quality of both of them (but today I'm just going to show you the Original one). The colors are so beautiful, all of them have shimmer except for the black one that is matte and the pigmentation of all of them is great. The consistence is a little bit on the powdery side, but I didn't have any fallouts when applying the colors. Although the size seems to be a lot smaller than a MAC eyeshadow, the Sleek eyeshadows have 1,1 g and the MAC 1,4, so there isn't that much of a difference. I also really loved the packaging because it's not cheap looking and it's very compact. The palette has also a mirror so it's great for travelling, you just need one palette and you have a lot of colors and a mirror. It came with a sponge applicator but I don't use them and I took it away before I took the photos...sorry!

The price was 8,50 € for all the 12 eyeshadows, you can't beat that price! 

I highly, highly recommend this palette!

Decid hola a mi nuevo amor: ¡la Paleta Original de Sleek! Acabo de recibir esta paleta y la Storm hace unos días y estoy impresionadísima con la calidad de ambas (pero hoy sólo os enseñare la Original). Los colores son preciosos, todos tienen brillo excepto el negro que es matte y la pigmentación te todas las sombras es genial. La consistencia es un poco tirando a polvorienta pero no me cayó mucha sombra al maquillarme. Aunque el tamaño parezca muy pequeño comparándolo con una sombra de MAC, las the Sleek tienen 1,1 g y las de MAC 1,4, por lo que no hay una diferencia tan grande como parece. Igualmente me gusto muchísimo la presentación porque no parece nada "barata" y es muy compacta. Además la paleta tiene un espejo, por lo que es genial para viajes, te llevas todos esos colores y un espejo en un sola paleta. También viene con un aplicador de esponjitas pero lo quité antes de sacar las fotos porque no los suelo usar...¡perdón!

El precio fue de 8,50 € por todas las sombras, ¡es un precio imbatible!

Recomiendo mushísimo esta paleta.

This is just a very simple "5-Minutes" make up look. Sometimes green eye shadow looks don't seem very wearable but I think this one is wearable enough!

Some days ago I got really inspired by Sugarpill's webpage pictures. Every time I enter their webpage I'm so amazed because of the design and the make up of their models. So, as I already said, I got inspired by the two pictures below and I decided to do my own interpretation of them. I'm not saying I did it exactly like the pictures, because I'm not a make up artist and I don't pretend to be one, I just did this for fun. And, by the way, I don't wear this out, but maybe I should ;)

Hace algunos días me inspiré viendo las imágenes de la página web de Sugarpill. Cada vez que entro en su página web me quedo asombrada por su diseño y por el maquillaje de las modelos. Bueno, como dije, me inspiraron las imágenes de abajo y decidí hacer mi propia interpretación de ellas. No digo que lo que he hecho sea igual que las imágenes, porque no soy una maquilladora profesional ni me hago pasar por una, sólo lo he hecho por diversión. Y, por cierto, no llevo esto a la calle, pero quizas debería ;)
