Carnival: Arabic Makeup #1

Hello!

I thought I would do some fun looks for those who celebrate carnival. Since my mum is German, I always celebrated carnival and I always had a lot of fun dressing myself up. I also loooove arabic makeup, I think it's vet pretty and sexy. This was also an excuse for filling in my brows! I never never fill in my brows because they look too harsh with my blond hair, but I love how it looks on other people.

To archive that sharp eyeliner I used tape before I started my makeup and I took it off at the end. Then I emphasized the line with NYX Jumpo Eyeshadow Pencil in Milk.

I didn't came up with this makeup, I saw it somewhere (don't know where, sorry) so I can't take all the credit for it.

He pensado en hacer algunos maquillajes divertidos para carnaval. Como mi madre es alemana, siempre he celebrado el carnaval y siempre me lo he pasado genial disfrazándome. Además me encanta en maquillaje árabe me parece muy bonito y sexy.  Esto fue también una excusa para rellenar mis cejas. Nunca, nunca me las pinto porque queda demasiado marcado con mi pelo rubio, pero me encanta cómo le queda a otras personas.

Para conseguir un eyeliner tan "cortante" me pegue celo antes de empezar el maquillaje y me lo quité al final. Luego lo enfaticé con NYX Jumbo Eyeshadow Pencil en color Milk.

Este look no me lo he "inventado" yo, vi la imagen en algún sitio (no sé dónde, sorry) así que no puedo llevarme todo el mérito por él.

Every time I do my make up like this I feel like a good girl that decided to party as a bad girl! It reminds me of Sandy in Grease hehe. It's kind of a "Rocker Barbie" look...and I love it!

Tips and tricks: Make your eyes look wider and awake!

Use a white eyeliner on the waterline. 

Usa un eyeliner blanco para hacerte la raya en la waterline.

Use white or any light color for the inner corner of your eye. That will make a huge difference!

Usa un color blanco o muy claro para el interior del ojo (zona del lagrimal). ¡Esto hará una gran diferencia!

Don't use red or pink based eye shadows. These colors will make your eye look very tired, specially if you apply them under the lower lashline.
No uses sombras de ojos con tonalidades rojizas o rosadas. Estos colores harán que tus ojos parezcan cansados, especialmente si los utilizas debajo de la línea de las pestañas.

Don't use dark eye shadows. They will make your eye look smaller.
No uses colores oscuros. Harán que tu ojo parezca más pequeño.

Conceal your under eye area. Dark circles are your number one enemy when it comes to looking awake. If your under eye circles have a bluish tone, use a yellow-based concealer, if they are more green you can neutralize them with a orange-based concealer. Use liquid concealers for this area, cream concealers will make you look cakey. Choose two shades lighter than your skin color.

Corrige tus ojeras. Las ojeras son tu enemigo número uno si quieres parecer más despierta. Si tus ojeras tienen un tono azulado, usa un corrector de base amarillenta, si tienen un tono más bien verdoso, utiliza un corrector de base anaranjada. Usa correctores líquidos para esta zona , ya que los correctores en crema te acentúan las pequeñas arrugas de esa zona. Escoge dos tonos más claros que tu tono de piel.

Curl your lashes. It will give the illusion of wider eyes.
Rízate las pestañas. Dará la impresión de unos ojos más abiertos.

Use eyedrops that remove the redness if your eyes look irritated.
Usa gotas para los ojos que eliminen el enrojecimiento si tus ojos están irritados.

Put some spoons in the freezer for a few minutes and  hold them against your eyes as long as the spoons stay cold. Your eyes won't look that swollen.
Mete unas cucharas en el congelador unos minutos. Apriétalas suavemente contra tus ojos hasta que dejen de estar frías. Esto hará que tus ojos parezcan menos hinchados.

EOTD: Wearable Green Eyes

This is just a very simple "5-Minutes" make up look. Sometimes green eye shadow looks don't seem very wearable but I think this one is wearable enough!

My favorite MAC eye shadows

Today I'll show you my favorite MAC eye shadows. I chose the ones I thought are really worth it and unique or very pretty. MAC has a lot of other beautiful eye shadows but you can find dupes for them or they just aren't that special. These are the ones I absolutely love and that I would repurchase. I didn't include highlighters because every brand has at least one pretty highlighter (or neutral color) and I'm going to write a post just about them anyway. I only included eye shadows from their permanent collection, because I wanted to show you just the ones you can actually buy whenever you want. 

They are listed in no particular order and I added the MAC finishes in brackets. 

I hope this is helpful, and comment below if you recommend other colors different than these.

Hoy os voy a enseñar mis sombras de MAC favoritas. Elegí las que pienso que merecen realmente la pena y que son únicas o muy bonitas. MAC tiene muchísimas otras sombras preciosas pero puedes encontrar copias o símiles o no simplemente no son tan especiales. Estas son las que me encantan absolutamente y que volvería comprar si se me gastasen. No he incluido iluminadores porque cualquier marca tiene al menos uno bonito (o colores neutros) y de todas formas voy a escribir un post sólo sobre ellos. Sólo he incluido sombras de la colección permanente porque quería enseñaros sólo sombras que pudierais comprar siempre que queráis. 

No están en ningún orden concreto y he añadido entre paréntesis el acabo según lo indica MAC.

Espero que esto os sea de ayuda y comentad debajo si recomendais otros colores diferentes a estos.

These last ones that I'm going to show you don't look nothing special but I'll tell you why I still like them:

Estos últimos que os voy a enseñar no parecen nada especial pero os voy a explicar por qué me gustan de todas formas:

Black. Not the best matte black I know, but good enough.

Negro. No el mejor negro mate que conozco, pero lo suficientemente bueno.

 Muted golden brown (Satin). The best transition color for fair skin.

Marrón tostado (Satinado). El mejor color de transición para pieles claras.

Muted plum-brown (Satin). Perfect to darken up the crease. 

Marrón violáceo (Satinado). Perfecto para oscurecer el pliegue del ojo.
